Greek Nautilus Management has finalized an order for up to two MR1 product and chemical tankers with China’s Wuhu Shipyard.
Shipping Telegraph understands the deal covers one firm vessel and an option for a second.
The Greek shipmanagement company has placed orders for up to two 41,000-dwt MR1 newbuildings, with deliveries scheduled in 2028.
“This investment reflects our long-standing experience in the tanker segment and our continued commitment to building a modern, efficient and commercially competitive fleet,” the company said in a social media post.
Designed according to the advanced SDARI 41 framework, the vessels will feature a premium, future-ready configuration, including a stern line, vapor recovery line and additional technical specifications aligned with major oil companies’ requirements.
Currently, the company manages the 34,976-dwt handysize bulk carrier V Isalos (2011-built) and the 36,187-dwt V Bros, also handysize, built in 2010.
Nautilus Management provides technical and commercial management for dry cargo vessels and oil, product, and chemical tankers.
