Cyprus-based shipowner and shipping fund manager, Pelagic Partners, has deepened its relationship with International Seaways through a new long-term charter.

The company said the 2009-built tanker Pelagic Turbot, 73,500-dwt, following its recent docking, has entered into a long-term time charter with International Seaways (INSW).

No financial details were disclosed by the company, but Pelagic Partners said that this move strengthens the growing partnership between Pelagic and INSW.

It also revealed that Pelagic Turbot joins Pelagic Tope (2008-built) 76,580-dwt on a time charter agreement with International Seaways.

“In a testament to the positive relationship established between Pelagic Partners and INSW, a second vessel has been added under a time charter agreement, with Pelagic Turbot joining Pelagic Tope,” the company said.

This move is only the beginning as Pelagic Partners intends to explore further opportunities with INSW.

Recently the company shared the recent expansion of its offshore fleet with the addition of two multipurpose offshore vessels (MPSVs), Energy Sphynx and Energy Savannah.

Delivered on October 16th and October 21st, these vessels are now part of the Pelagic Yield Fund.

Golden Energy Offshore, will oversee both the commercial and the technical management of Energy Sphynx and Energy Savannah.
