Monaco-based Scorpio Group has revealed in the social media the integration of four medium range (MR) tankers from South Korea’s Sinokor Petrochemical into the Scorpio MR pool.
Scorpio did not reveal the names of the tankers but said that the move enhances its capabilities in the MR segment, aligning with the company’s commitment to consolidate high-quality tonnage in this market.
“Partnering with Sinokor, a leading owner of MR tankers, significantly strengthens our offerings, providing customers with reliable and flexible solutions. This consolidation aims to maximize operational efficiencies and deliver tangible benefits to our clients and partners,” the company said in a social media post on LinkedIn.
Scorpio said Sinokor is anticipated to contribute additional tonnage into the company’s MR pool in the future.
“We look forward to further expanding our pool with additional tonnage from Sinokor and ongoing discussions with other MR tanker owners,” it added.
