The shipping investment company ADS Maritime Holding Plc acquired shares in Golden Ocean Group.
The investment company established in 2018 acquired 130.000 shares on June 6 this year in Golden Ocean Group for NOK 84,222 per share.
The Oslo-listed company has become a shareholder in listed shipowning dry bulk carrier.
The Nasdaq and Oslo-listed Golden Ocean Group operates in the Capesize and Panamax segments, whilst 59% of its fleet is on fixed contracts for the third and fourth quarter of 2023.
ADS Maritime Holding which focuses on making counter-cyclical investments within the maritime sector has a very “rich” portfolio of investments.
The company acquired on March this year 152,784 shares in Gram Car Carriers ASA at market terms of NOK 141.20 per share.
All share in Gram Car Carriers has during the second quarter of 2023 been sold with profit, as the investor claims.
Last year ADS acquired a 10% shareholding in United Overseas Products AS (UOP), which owns the MR tanker vessels UOG Oslo 2010-built and 2009-built UOG Sparta.
In addition to the ownership of the vessels, the company is also acting as disponent owner for the project.
Additionally last year the investment company has acquired a 5% shareholding in AET Sea Shuttle AS and AET Sea Shuttle II AS, the owners of four modern shuttle tankers of which two are built in 2015 and two in 2019 operating in the North Sea, mainly on long term charters to Equinor.
The investment company does not hold any controlling interest in the various shipowning companies it is invested in.
Its revenue typically consists of dividends received and various management fees.
