Finland-based Ro/Ro specialist Godby Shipping announce that the company have fixed their Mv Mistral for up to 3 years employment.
The Mv Mistral is presently on charter to Faraoe Island based Smyril Line until December 2023, and upon redelivery the Mv Mistral will go through a five-year class renewal docking including installation of systems for increasing the energy efficiency of the vessel and painting with low-friction bottom paint.
Directly after the class renewal Godby Shipping state on social media, that the vessel will be chartered to the Spanish roro operator Suardiaz Lines for their new service between Vigo, Spain and Liverpool, UK. The charter contract is including options for a period of up to three years the company disclose.
Godby Shipping says that “The roro market is presently very strong with good rates, and we think this new charter is positive for our company and the crew onboard Mistral.”
