Dry bulk owner 2020 Bulkers, with offices in Bermuda and Norway, has achieved in February 2023 average time charter equivalent earnings of approximately US$15,800 per day, gross.
The company’s two vessels trading on index-linked time charter earned approximately US$9,500 per day, gross, including average daily scrubber benefits of approximately US$3,500 per day.
The shipowner noted that the company’s six vessels trading on fixed time charter, earned approximately US$18,300 per day, gross, including average daily scrubber benefits of approximately US$600 per day.
The Baltic 5TC capesize Index averaged US$3,749 during February 2023.
As shipping telegraph reported one month ago the shipowner has converted and extended the charters for two vessels, Bulk Shanghai and Bulk Seoul, to fixed rate charters at a rate of US$22,850.
The company said in an announcement, that has converted and extended the index-linked time charters, for the two vessels to fixed rate charters from February 10, 2023, until September 30, 2023, at a rate of US$22,850, gross, including scrubber benefit.
Following the fixed rate charter periods, both time charters, have been extended with 6 months index-linked charters reflecting a significant premium to a standard Capesize vessel, as well as an additional premium related to the fuel cost saving from the scrubbers.
The dry bulk owner from the period 19th of February until 31st of March, 2023 has seven vessels fixed, at an average rate of US$18,963, gross, and will additionally earn a floating scrubber benefit for one vessel.
