Cascadia Maritime Logistics (CML), a ro-ro specialist, has placed Yong Xin 128 on period employment for the Hambantota – Khor Fakkan Ro-Ro feeder.

Khor Fakkan lies on the east coast of the UAE, outside the Strait of Hormuz. Where Arabian Gulf schedules are subject to delay or change because of conditions in the Strait, this connection offers an additional routing for Ro-Ro cargo into the UAE for onward delivery, according to CML.

Together with existing period tonnage on the same route, Cascadia’s dedicated feeder capacity in the Indian Ocean has reached over 5,000 CEU.

CML said the addition is intended to support a more regular sailing pattern and a more predictable frequency, so bookings can be planned against a standing rotation rather than on a purely ad-hoc basis.
