The Netherlands headquartered shipbuilder Damen Shipyards Group announce that it has signed a contract with the Greece-based Aegean Tugs Shipping Company for an ASD Tug 2811, which due to its stock-building programme, the shipbuilder is able to offer a rapid delivery.
With the tug already under construction and nearing its completion, Damen will deliver the ASD Tug 2811 in Q1 of 2027 in Kalymnos in Greece, being the home port of Aegean Tugs Shipping Company.
The standard ASD Tug 2811 with a length of 28,57 metres, a beam of 11,43 metres and with 60 tonnes of bollard pull, is both compact and powerful so the ideal vessel for the modern port operation. The tug is designed to combine excellent manoeuvrability with high levels of efficiency.
Before the delivery Damen informs that it will tailor the proven design of the tug to meet its client’s requirements, which include the installation of FiFi 1 firefighting equipment and a towing winch, and other modifications required by the Greek flag state.
